Jonathan Fink

Jonathan Fink is Associate Chief Counsel at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

As Associate Chief Counsel, Mr. Fink provides guidance and legal assistance to OCC management with respect to complex issues of national significance and undertakes special assignments for the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief Counsels. He also assists with managerial and supervisory direction for the Chief Counsel's Office (CCO) and leads staff responsible for managing operations, budget, attorney hiring and retention, the attorney honors program, and diversity and inclusion matters in CCO. He reports to the Senior Deputy Comptroller and Chief Counsel and assumed these duties in August 2022.

Previously, Mr. Fink served as Assistant Chief Counsel and Acting Deputy Chief Counsel. He has also held a range of senior advisory positions in the Comptroller’s office and Chief Counsel’s Office, including Climate Risk Officer.

Mr. Fink joined the OCC in 1996 as an attorney in the Bank Activities and Structure division and served as Assistant Director until 2013. In this division, he worked on matters involving the implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, international activities, and innovative payments and licensing issues.

Mr. Fink received his juris doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Order of the Coif, and his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Birmingham, England.
