Paul Wexler is a Senior Financial Economist in the Banking Industry Studies Division. He currently writes the quarterly U.S. economic outlook for the Economics Department and specializes in analyzing monetary and fiscal policy developments and their impact on financial markets and bank earnings. From 2011-2014, Mr. Wexler led departmental research on earnings risks and projection techniques related to Dodd Frank stress testing requirements.
Before joining the OCC, Paul was an Economist for The Bank of New York Mellon. Prior to that, he worked as an Economist and Statistician for CBS Corporation and AT&T. He has also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at NYU. Paul holds an M.A. in Economics from Penn State University.
